Policy makers

WCRF International works with policy-makers worldwide to develop strategies and programmes that enable governments, individuals and other stakeholders to adopt the recommendations for cancer prevention presented in the expert report, Food, Nutrition, Physical Activity, and the Prevention of Cancer: a Global Perspective and the companion report, Policy and Action for Cancer Prevention.

Here are links to areas of our site that may be of particular interest to policy-makers.

WCRF International Conference

The WCRF International Conference featured presentations from some of the most prominent speakers in the field. It offered an exceptional networking opportunity for scientists, policy-makers and health professionals to get together and discuss the challenges and future opportunities in the field of food, nutrition, physical activity and cancer.

For more information about the conference, download the abstract book and visit the multimedia section to see audiovisual presentations.

Policy Report

Policy and Action for Cancer Prevention, a companion publication to the Second Expert Report, addresses why people practice particular eating and physical eating habits over a lifetime. And it looks at the success of implementing policies and actions that may change those behaviours.

The policy report makes recommendations for policy-makers, decision-takers and other actors, at international, national and local level.
