Study Population: 150 Chinese cancer patients  (with nasopharyngeal cancer or colorectal cancer) aged 18 and over, who are being followed up in the Prince of Wales Hospital or the Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital in Hong Kong.

Study population: A prospective study of 1,350 Chinese women aged 25-70 years with incident, primary histologically confirmed breast cancer recruited from two Regional Cancer Treatment Centres in Hong Kong.

Project title: Etiological study of esophageal cancer in Chinese population – With special reference to dietary factors and genetic polymorphisms (2010/240)

Study population: A population-based case-control study of 800 35-80 male and female cases with newly diagnosed primary oesophageal squamous carcinoma, and 800 population-matched controls.

Project Title: Role of Vitamin D and its Genetic Polymorphisms in Epstein-Barr Virus Activity and the Risk of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma (2011/460)

Study Population: A case-control study 1000 patients with NPC and 1000 controls will be recruited over 30 months. The study will investigate whether Vitamin D deficiency is related to NPC and EBV viral activity, and whether Vitamin D-related genetic variants, lifestyle factors, and dietary factors may interact and affect risk of NPC.
