Science Programme Manager (Research Funding)

WCRF International leads and unifies a network of cancer prevention charities based in Europe, the Americas and Asia and is responsible for cancer prevention science, policy, strategic and operational direction to the network charities.

The advertised post is a central role within the Research Funding and Science Activities Team, covering all aspects of research management, from launching new calls for applications through to the active monitoring of funded projects.

We are seeking an experienced Research Funding Programme Manager to manage our research grant programme. This is a particularly exciting time for our science work and the postholder will play a key role in shaping the future of our research funding portfolio. The successful candidate will work efficiently with colleagues around the network and external stakeholders to drive research innovation, effective research dissemination and assist with income generation working closely with Fundraising colleagues and their supporter networks.

The successful candidate will be educated to a higher degree in biological or life sciences. He/she will be a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and experience in interacting with teams and external stakeholders. Previous experience in research management and administration is essential.
