Where and when is the conference?
The WCRF/AICR launch conference takes place on 1st and 2nd November 2007 at The Royal Society, 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1Y 5AG.
Who should attend this conference?
Senior scientific investigators in the field of food, nutrition, physical activity, overweight and obesity in relation to cancer prevention.
Public policymakers in health, nutrition and agriculture.
Health professionals involved in policymaking at European, national and regional level.
Who is speaking?
Leading researchers, and renowned scientists from WCRF/AICR’s expert panel who reviewed and assessed the research on food, nutrition, physical activity, overweight and obesity in relation to cancer prevention. Schedule - Day 1 / Schedule Day 2
What format will the conference take?
During the two-day event the findings of the report will be revealed with sessions focusing on ten health recommendations for cancer prevention. Future directions for research will be highlighted as well as the policy implications of the report.
How much is it to attend?
On or before 5th October 2007 there is an early bird registration fee of £150. After this the cost is £200. Payment can be made by cheque or credit card.
Is there a one-day delegate rate?
No, delegates can only register for the two days.
What is included in the conference registration fee?
Entrance to the two-day event, one copy of the second expert report and an accompanying CD-Rom. Lunch and refreshments on both days are also included.

Registration
How can I register to attend the conference?
You can register online or by downloading and completing the conference registration form and sending it back to the WCRF/AICR Launch Conference Secretariat by fax (+44 (0)20 7343 4201) or by post WCRF/AICR Launch Conference Secretariat, WCRF International, 19 Harley Street, London W1G 9QJ United Kingdom. Your payment (debit/credit card or a cheque) must be sent with the registration form.
When is the deadline for registration?
Delegate places for the conference are limited and awarded on a first come first served basis so if you know you are going to attend, we do recommend that you register as early as possible.
I have sent off my registration form. When should I expect to receive confirmation that I have a place?
If you registered online you will receive confirmation of your place via email within 3 working days.
If you sent your completed registration form and payment by post or fax you will receive confirmation of your place via letter within 10 working days.

Cancellations
I have to cancel my place at the conference. Can I get a refund?
Refunds will be made for cancellations received by 30th September but a £45 processing fee will automatically be deducted. Cancellations made after 30th September will not be refunded. Please contact the Launch Conference Secretariat at launchconference@wcrf.org if you need to cancel your place.
I have to cancel my place at the conference. Can a colleague attend in my place?
Yes, if you are unable to attend the conference, someone may attend in your place. You will need to inform the Launch Conference Secretariat at launchconference@wcrf.org of any changes by
Friday 12th October.

Travel and accommodation
How do I book accommodation for the conference?
Accommodation is not included in your registration package. See Accommodation for a list of hotels close to The Royal Society.

How do I get to the venue?
The conference is being held at: The Royal Society, 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1Y 5AG.
The Royal Society is located in Carlton House Terrace, just off Waterloo Place, between Pall Mall and The Mall. It is five minutes walk from Piccadilly Circus underground Tube station and ten minutes from Charing Cross mainline and underground stations, or 20 minutes through St James's Park from Victoria. Trafalgar Square, and all bus services through it, are also very close.
