Policy and public affairs
Read our joint brief to find out why NCDs should be considered in policies to address major nutritional challenges. We summarise the state of the art science on the connection between nutrition and NCDs, and make recommendations for priority actions.
WCRF International works to support, encourage and influence national and international policy-makers to take comprehensive policy action that makes it easier for people to make healthy choices. The evidence shows this will reduce the chances of people developing cancer and other non-communicable diseases.
Our policy goal
The goal of our policy activities is the wider implementation of more effective policies that enable people to follow the WCRF International Recommendations for Cancer Prevention.
We would like to see a world in which governments everywhere develop, implement and evaluate evidence-informed polices to help populations develop and maintain healthy eating and drinking behaviours, have a healthy weight and take enough physical activity.
