Consultation responses

WCRF International responds to public consultations that are relevant to our work. Public consultations are a way in which public bodies and organisations seek input into specific processes to inform their thinking and decision-making. The main goal is to ensure, to the greatest extent possible, that the full range of information is considered, there are opportunities for opinion exchange, and there is public participation.

We respond to consultations issued at the international (e.g the United Nations and its relevant agencies, especially the World Health Organization), European (e.g European Commission) and national (e.g. UK) levels. Some of these consultations are submitted as a joint position with other organisations. The main goal for WCRF International in submitting consultation responses is to communicate recommendations based on our science.
