Digital Content Officer

12 months fixed term with the possibility of an extension
£21,000 - £25,000 per annum

An enthusiastic and innovative Digital Content Officer with effective project management skills is required to coordinate a range of projects across the Health Information department, helping us to provide varied audiences with engaging content on cancer prevention and healthy lifestyles.

We are a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to funding research and education programmes into the link between food, nutrition, physical activity, body weight and cancer risk. Working with leading research scientists, policy makers and health professionals, World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK) is committed to making cancer prevention a reality.

Within this varied role, you will help to develop our social media outputs, assist with developing content for digital projects such as interactive tools, calculators, apps and videos and be responsible for updating content on our main website and the Great Grub Club (GGC) website.

To be successful you must have proven experience within a digital content role, ideally in the health arena, experience of coordinating projects from conception to completion and of taking responsibility for a range of administrative duties.

With strong editorial and proof reading skills, you will be familiar with publishing a range of materials for use on digital communication channels with the ability to use a wide range of technology to ensure we maintain and develop our digital health information.

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to help people make choices that will reduce their cancer risk. You will need excellent communications skills to produce concise and well constructed written communications, present verbally in a clear and consice manner and tailor these to the needs of the audience.

You will have a good understanding of what makes eye catching visuals, know how to source and crop suitable images and have the ability to come up with new ideas and approaches to engage varied audiences using our websites and social media platforms, as well as relevant external sites.

An exciting opportunity for a Deputy Head of Fundraising has arisen at World Cancer Reseach Fund (WCRF UK).

WCRF UK is part of a global network of charities that are committed to preventing cancer. We fund cutting edge cancer research and provide people with the information they need to reduce their cancer risk.

Within this role, the successful candidate will provide key support to the Head of Fundraising and deputise as required.

Working with the Head of Fundraising, you will lead the development of WCRF UK fundraising programmes and maximise income targets, with a focus on events, corporate partnerships, trusts and payroll giving. You will also have demonstrable experience of generating and maximising donor development opportunities.

With line management experience, the successful candidate will play a vital role in leading supporting and motivating the fundraising team. You will have proven experience of operating at a strategic level, supporting fundraising department strategic planning, review and evaluations processes and of creating and managing budgets.

You will also have excellent communication and relationship building skills with experience of identifying and developing new fundraising programmes and setting and achieving realistic income targets.

We are looking for an innovative, creative and forward thinking individual who is able to make significant contributions to the achievement of the fundraising strategic goals and ultimately the charity’s overarching goals.

A self-motivated and enthusiastic Fundraising Assistant is required to support the development of WCRF UK fundraising programmes, specifically corporates and events.

We are a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to funding research and education programmes into the link between food, nutrition, physical activity, weight maintenance and cancer risk. Working with leading research scientists, policy makers and health professionals, World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK) is committed to making cancer prevention a reality.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in a broad range of fundraising areas, including working with fundraising colleagues on activities related to to outdoor and community events and corporate partnership programmes.

In this varied role, you will be supporting colleagues and the budgets they work within for all areas of responsibility ensuring financial targets are met and actively contribute to the continued development and ongoing review of the Fundraising Strategic Plan.

The sucessful candidate will be a highly effective communicator, organised and methodical, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and on your own initiative. You must be an effective team player who has excellent attention to detail, strong IT skills as well as good interpersonal skills.

You will possess demonstrable experience of working in the charity sector, ideally in one or more of the following areas: Corporate, Events,Community Fundraising or Payroll Giving.

You will also have some experience of writing materials, preferably requesting support/funding and of project planning and/or co-ordination preferably gained within a fundraising environment.
