World Cancer Research Fund International (WCRF International) has a number of spokespeople who can give expert media comment and background briefings on all aspects of our work, including our research, policy promotion, and cancer prevention recommendations.

Kate is responsible for the science and policy programmes at World Cancer Research Fund International. Kate has a PhD in neuroscience and can comment on our scientific research and policy work.

 

Susannah Brown, Senior Science Programme ManagerSusannah Brown, Senior Science Programme Manager

Susannah is a senior scientist working on our Continuous Update Project (CUP) who joined WCRF in 2014. Susannah can comment on the scientific findings from the CUP with a focus on public health and nutrition.

Anna oversees our research grant programme. She previously worked at Prostate Cancer UK, has a PhD in human and medical genetics and she can comment on our grant funded research.

 

Louise Meincke, Head of Policy and Public AffairsLouise Meincke, Head of Policy and Public Affairs

Louise is a public affairs specialist and human rights advocate with over ten years experience of working on global public policy. She is able to comment on all aspects of our policy work.

 

Dr Panagiota Mitrou, Director of Research Funding and Science External Relations

Giota has a PhD in Genetic Epidemiology from the University of Cambridge and has written several papers in the area of diet and cancer. She previously held research positions at the National Cancer Institute in the US and at the University of Cambridge. She has worked at WCRF for ten years in various senior positions within the Science Department. Her main responsibilities include oversight of the research grant programme, our convening and capacity building activities and partnerships at national and international level. In her current role she works closely with the Policy and Public Affairs team to ensure there is coherence between our science and policy activities.
