WCRF report translated into Mandarin

Our latest cancer prevention report, Diet, Nutrition, Physical Activity and Cancer: a Global Perspective (the Third Expert Report), has been translated into Mandarin.

11 October 2018

The Third Expert Report was launched on 24 May 2018 and follows in the footsteps of our first and second expert reports, published in 1997 and 2007 respectively. It is a comprehensive analysis, using the most meticulous methods, of the worldwide body of evidence on preventing and surviving cancer through diet, nutrition and physical activity. The executive summary of the Third Expert Report has now been translated into Mandarin, and coincides with the 2018 World Cancer Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (1–4 October 2018).

“Translating parts of the Third Expert Report into Mandarin is an important process; it opens up the research on cancer prevention and survival to a new audience, making it accessible to people all over the world. We hope the translation will encourage more international collaboration between cancer researchers, leading to more evidence about how diet, nutrition and physical activity affect cancer risk and survival” – Professor TH Lam, one of World Cancer Research Fund’s Hong Kong Ambassadors

This report is a vital resource for anyone involved in preventing cancer. It ensures that everyone – including researchers, policymakers and anyone interested in reducing their cancer risk – can access the most up-to-date information on how to reduce the risk of developing cancer; and with this Mandarin translation, a concise summary of its findings are now available to many more people.
