Science Not Fiction — Evidence Saves Lives
Cancer Prevention Action Week 2026
15–21 June 2026
Health information is everywhere online. While much of it can be helpful, it is often over-simplified or taken out of context. When that happens, it becomes much harder to know what to trust.
For Cancer Prevention Action Week (CPAW) 2026 we are empowering people to look beyond these headlines and trust what the evidence really says – to choose science, not fiction.
As part of this year’s campaign, we’ve done a deep dive into misinformation and nutrition; carried out at nationwide analysis that will reveal the impact of misinformation on healthcare professionals and the general public; and developed a new and simple tool to help you navigate your way through misinformation.
CPAW 2026 — Key themes:
- Do not rely on supplements for cancer prevention
- Eat wholegrains, vegetables, fruit and beans
