Cancer statistics

The global increase in cancer is due to many things, including population growth and an ageing global population, as well as changes in risk factors related to cancer (such as diet and overweight and obesity). Evidence shows that 40 per cent of cancers are preventable and that people who follow our Cancer Prevention Recommendations can reduce their cancer risk.
