Why use this helpline?

Living with cancer and going through treatment can make eating less appealing. Many people lose their appetite altogether and experience side-effects that can have a significant impact on their quality of life and ability to enjoy food.

Our expert dietitians can help you tackle issues such as:

  • Taste changes and appetite loss
  • Nausea and constipation
  • Weight loss, and how to maintain a healthy weight during treatment
  • Evidence on nutrition and cancer, including myth-busting stories from the press and social media
  • Interactions between food and medications
  • Maintaining a healthy diet and making food as appealing as possible
  • Accessing further evidence-based information

At World Cancer Research Fund, we believe everyone who has been diagnosed with cancer should have access to the most reliable and up-to-date information about cancer and nutrition.

Thank God for the helpline! I’ve never spoken to such a kind, caring, patient and understanding healthcare professional before.
