Kate AllenDr Kate Allen, Executive Director, Science and Public Affairs

Dr Allen is responsible for the science and policy programmes at World Cancer Research Fund International. She has a PhD in neuroscience and can comment on our scientific research and policy work.

 

 

Dr Giota MitrouDr Panagiota Mitrou, Director of Research, Policy and Innovation

Dr Mitrou, known as Giota, has a PhD in genetic epidemiology from the University of Cambridge and has written several papers in the area of diet and cancer. She previously held research positions at the National Cancer Institute in the US and at the University of Cambridge. She has worked at WCRF for 15 years in various senior positions within the Science Department.

In her current role she has overall responsibility for our science and policy programmes.

Kate Oldridge-TurnerKate Oldridge-Turner, Head of Policy and Public Affairs

Kate has a background in human rights law and social policy. She can provide expert comment on our policy work including marketing restrictions and our collaborative EU project that aims to tackle obesity in young people, CO-CREATE. She is currently on maternity leave.

 

Helen CrokerDr Helen Croker, Assistant Director of Research and Policy

Helen is a Registered Dietitian and has a PhD in epidemiology and public health from UCL. Her work has focused on obesity and nutrition, through a behavioural science lens, as well as carrying out policy-related research. At WCRF, she is working closely with the science and policy teams to support the delivery of the science and policy activities.
