GLP-1-related weight loss medications and cancer

This document provides an overview of World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) International’s position on GLP-1-related weight loss medications and cancer, including the current evidence on cancer prevention, treatment and survivorship.

It explores the potential benefits and risks of GLP-1-related medications, the importance of healthy eating and physical activity alongside their use, and the key evidence gaps and research needed to understand their long-term impact on cancer risk and outcomes.
