Walk 100 Miles 2026

Put your breast foot forward in February to help improve breast cancer survival rates and make treatment kinder on patients.

When does the challenge start?

The challenge officially starts on Sunday 1 February 2026. People are challenged to walk 100 miles in February to raise funds to help prevent cancer and save lives.
Is there a registration fee?

No, it’s free to register. We just ask that you raise as much as you can.
How do I register to take part?

Join the Walk 100 miles in February Facebook group and follow the links to sign up and create your own Facebook fundraiser!
I’ve signed up. What next?

Follow the instructions in the Facebook group to register for your free T-shirt and miles tracker sheet. Make sure you’ve set up your Facebook fundraiser and tell all your friends and family about the challenge.
How do I get my T-shirt?

To get your free T-shirt you need to sign up to the Facebook group. The last day to register is 7 February, but the T-shirt offer is available while stocks last, so we recommend you join the challenge as early as possible. T-shirts are sent by Royal Mail.
My family/friends want to do the challenge with me – can they have T-shirts?

That’s great! Simply ask them to complete the registration form and we will send them their T-shirt. If they’re not fundraising and just taking part in the challenge with you, we ask that you purchase T-shirts from the World Cancer Research Fund shop.

Please note that Facebook fundraisers can only be set up by people aged 18 or over.
My business/employer wants to donate towards my fundraising. How do they do this?

The process varies across different organisations, so please email fundraising@wcrf.org and we will be able to support them with making a donation.
Can I get an extra T-shirt?

Due to a limited stock of T-shirts, we are only able to supply one T-shirt per registered fundraiser. You can however buy more in our online shop.
Can I adapt this challenge to suit my needs?

Of course! You can complete the 100 miles in any way you’d like, from amending the distance or how you complete the 100 miles.
Do I need to provide evidence that I’ve completed the challenge?

You don’t need to provide any evidence that you’ve completed the challenge, but we recommend keeping your sponsors updated on your progress by posting updates and photos from your challenge.

You could share a walk or jog you completed on Strava or any other fitness tracker on the Facebook group to share your progress!
How do I get the Walk 100 hat?

Your hat will be sent to you once you have raised £150 on your Facebook fundraiser or Social Sync page. You will receive an email letting you know when one has been sent to you.
I don’t use Facebook. Can I still take part in the challenge?

Yes! Follow this link to set up your Social Sync page.
What is a Facebook fundraiser & how can I share my fundraiser?

It’s a fundraising page that is hosted on Facebook, connected to your existing profile. When you set up your page, Facebook will post it on your news feed.

You can also invite your Facebook friends to join your fundraising page. We also recommend posting photos and updates about your progress.
What if people don’t want to donate to my Facebook fundraiser?

We recommend setting up a Facebook fundraiser, as it’s so quick and easy. But you can also set up your own fundraising page on JustGiving.
My friend accidentally donated to my Facebook fundraiser – can you give them a refund?

To request a refund via Facebook, a sponsor must follow this link, select ‘I donated to a fundraiser on Facebook’, then select ‘I want a refund for my donation(s)’ and select ‘I made a donation by accident’.

They will then need to find their donation in the dropdown and request the refund.
How do I pay in any cash donations I’ve received?

The easiest way to pay in donations is via your Facebook fundraiser or our Donate page.

You can also post any cheques and completed sponsorship forms to Events Team, World Cancer Research Fund, 140 Pentonville Road, London, N1 9FW.

Please make sure the name and email address that you registered with are included on anything you post into the office.
Can I take part in this challenge if I’m going through cancer treatment?

This challenge is open to everyone to take part in. If you are unsure what is suitable for you to do, it’s best to speak to your cancer care team first.
