I’m Attiya, and I run World Cancer Research Fund’s social media accounts. For Mother’s Day this Sunday, we thought it would be a lovely idea to give a big shout-out to all mums on our social media channels.
Mother’s Day can be a difficult day for many people who’ve sadly lost their mothers, but we want to help honour all mums; those who are still with us and those who are with us in memory – especially as this year many of us won’t be able to spend time with our mums due to self-isolation, physical distancing and COVID-19.
If you’d like to take part and give your Mum a big shout-out, take a short video of yourself saying what you’ll do for your Mum this Mother’s Day, either in honour or in memory, and we’ll share it on our social media!
You could cook one of our recipes, take on a challenge to do an event later in the year or give a donation in her memory.
If you’re in self-isolation, or can’t be with your Mum on Mother’s Day, it’s a great way to show your appreciation.
We want you to be as creative as you can, but just a reminder we encourage our supporters to live healthy lifestyles. Watch our Corporate Partnerships Fundraising Manager Adam Daly’s heartfelt tribute to his Mum to get you inspired.
So if you’d like to take part, send your videos to our social media channels by tagging WCRF UK, with your name and your mother’s, so we can give her a big shout-out in the upcoming days!
